Growing Farmers

A prominent educator in the world of small-scale farming, Growing Farmers hosts virtual farming conferences, the Thriving Farmer Podcast, and live workshops and masterclasses for small farmers and homesteaders.
We’re a small and tight-knit team working to equip small, local growers to thrive!
At Growing Farmers, I build out course and email automations in Simplero for both our live and evergreen workshops, summits, and courses. I also write our weekly Farm Life Friday email, sales email sequences, and course delivery email sequences.
In addition to the emails and automations, I build and write our opt-in and sales landing pages.

Modified a LIVE cut flower farming conference, and built out the automation to run it as an evergreen three-day workshop.

Write our weekly Farm Life Friday emails with farming tips & advice, with consistent 50% open rates. In this weekly email (separate from our newsletter) we usually focus on nurturing only, without any sales copy.

Created a new member site in Simplero to host our sourdough courses, designed and wrote the landing pages for a sourdough workshop that funnels into a masterclass, built out the automation and wrote both the sales and workshop delivery emails.

Crafted a new re-engagement email sequence for cold contacts, with a 43% open rate and 4.5% CTR for the first email in the 3-part sequence.

When I first ventured into Squarespace website design, one of the first things I did was join Rebecca’s Facebook group on Squarespace design & coding tips.
About a year later, I reached out to Rebecca, and she became one of my clients!
As a website designer and CSS master, Rebecca has several digital products for web designers. She wanted to increase profits but cut down on ad spend, so we immediately started looking at ways to increase organic traffic. Our top two channels were her blog and Pinterest.
I started by updating her top-performing blog posts and optimizing them for Google search to improve her rankings. We then established a consistent content calendar, begin creating more blog content centered around user intent, and started bringing in more organic traffic from Pinterest.

Finn Physical Therapy is a small holistic therapy practice located in New York City. Like many small business owners, the owner Deirdre decided to shift more of her business online following COVID-19. She had one digital product and offered virtual therapy sessions, but got very few leads online.
First, I streamlined her website copy and helped her create a new paid email course that doubled as a sales funnel for her digital product.
Then we created a strategy for getting more leads online, primarily through LinkedIn marketing.
My tasks included ghostwriting her LinkedIn posts, connecting her with prospects in NYC through LinkedIn, managing her Facebook page, and performing website edits when needed.

I worked with the founder, Lori, to create a brand kit for her business and lay out her social media marketing strategy.

Catalyst Learning Curricula is a small educational company that provides AP science curriculum and STEM workshops for teachers. Kristen, the owner and educator, moved most of her teacher workshops online during COVID-19. However, even though she had a strong email list that she had grown through her in-person workshops, she was barely on social media and her website received very little traffic.
Our first focus was SEO and choosing keywords to rank for. I wrote several optimized blog posts for her each month, using SE Ranking to track how her website ranked for the targeted keywords.
We also focused on increasing her presence on social media and connecting with other educators through Twitter.
